Vibes — Privacy Policy

Vibes ("the app") turns photos of your surroundings into playlists. This policy describes what data the app handles and how.

What we collect

• Account: when you sign in with Apple, we receive a user identifier and the email address you choose to share (which may be Apple's private relay address). We use it solely to maintain your account.
• Your vibes: generated playlist names, descriptions, tracklists, and your interactions with them (favorites, hearts, re-cut feedback, stated music preferences) are stored against your account so your history and taste work across sessions.
• Subscription status: if you subscribe, we verify the purchase with Apple and store only an entitlement expiry date. We never see payment details.

Photos

Photos you capture or select are sent to our server and forwarded to our AI provider (Anthropic) to analyze the scene and generate a playlist. Photos are not stored on our servers — they are processed for the duration of the request and discarded. A copy of the photo is kept on your device only so you can revisit the moment behind each playlist; deleting the app deletes those copies.

Apple Music

Playback, library playlist creation, and catalog search happen through Apple's MusicKit on your device under your Apple Music permissions. We do not receive your Apple Music listening history.

What we don't do

• No advertising, no trackers, no analytics SDKs.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.
• No use of your data to train AI models.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → delete account. This permanently removes your account, playlist history, hearts, and preferences from our servers.
